New Work by Modwerks

After weeks of invasive modifications to four Daikin Rebel units, ModWerks delivered operating room RTUs for a local hospital. It took a lot of changes to the units, starting with cutting them in half. From there we added many parts and pieces to provide each space with precise temperatures, humidity levels, and controllability. Components we added:

• Desiccant dehumidification wheel
• Top OA air tunnel with filters, EC fan, and steam regen coil to feed the wheel
• Steam reheat coil for main air tunnel
• Steam valves and internal piping
• Trim DX cooling coil with dedicated condensing unit
• Humidifier with steam generator
• Added electrical service and controls to make it all work 

Success! The units are up and running, sitting on roof curbs with HEPA filters inside them. Thank you to everyone who strapped on your thinking caps to sell this idea, design the solution, build it, install everything, and program the controls to make it work!
